My priorities are continued public safety for residents and businesses, emergency preparedness, fiscal responsibility and transparency in government, a vibrant business community, develop parks and maintain open spaces, engage and mentor our youth, environmental sustainability, and complete the 57/60 Confluence Project. we WON THE FIGHT FOR TRES HERMANOS RANCH

DIAMOND BAR NOW CONTROLS 2,450 ACRES OF PRISTINE LAND, DEDICATED TO OPEN SPACE & PUBLIC USE

I am so proud to be a member of your City Council, as we successfully fought to protect the natural beauty of Tres Hermanos Ranch from over-development.  Working together, in 2019 we created a historic partnership between the City of Diamond Bar, City of Chino Hills, and the City of Industry, so that Diamond Bar now has a controlling position in Tres Hermanos Ranch and a voice for its future.  This new partnership is dedicated to preserving these beautiful lands as open space and for public use into perpetuity.

results from MY commitment to diamond bar

I am proud to share what we've accomplished for Diamond Bar thus far:

  • Diamond Bar is safer. "Part 1 crimes," known as serious crimes, are trending down in Diamond Bar. Neighborhood Watch groups protect and empower our residents, I'm so proud that these Neighborhood Watch groups grow each year.  Have you participated in the Coffee with the Cop conversations about public safety? These discussions with our law enforcement officers are for sharing tips and strategies for preventing crime and securing our homes. Also, last year, we installed 50 automated license plate reader cameras at key city points to help law enforcement solve crimes. Public safety is my top priority.
  • Public safety for our business community. We expanded the concept of Neighborhood Watch and created Diamond Bar Business Watch, a burglary prevention program to educate and engage our business community. Businesses must feel safe in order to thrive
  • 57/60 Confluence Project is well under way. The final phase to relieve congestion and enhance safety at the confluence, where the 60 and 57 Freeway meet, began in July 2023. This $ 444.12 million dollar project is scheduled for completion in July 2028. When finished, the new ramps and bypass lanes will reduce lane switching and get you on or off the 60 freeway safely.
  • Careful spending & transparency. I delivered balanced city budgets for nine consecutive years focused on priorities that you care about.  Our budget process and reporting are open to everyone. Our financial statements are professionally audited.  We were awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for our easily readable and efficiently organized Report.  This prestigious national honor is our 28th consecutive award.  It's important that you know where and how your money is being spent.
  • Bringing money into our city. To keep our parks well maintained and modern, I advocated for park improvement grants from state and federal representatives. Our city received $1.4 million in grants to enhance Maple Hill Park and Heritage Park. I will continue to fight for our share of park funding.
  • More park space and improved trails. We recently acquired 3+ acres to be the future Sunset Crossing Park. The design has been completed after much public input.  We are now seeking funding to bring this park to life.  Have you hiked the Canyon Loop Trail lately? Last year, we completed the Canyon Loop Trail improvement project, added amenities and safety features while protecting wildlife and flora. The views from this trail are stunning!
  • It's all about infrastructure. Our capital improvement budget ensures that every street in our city is maintained and repaired every seven years. No potholes in Diamond Bar. We repaired and stabilized the slope at the Diamond Bar Center and installed a new HVAC and upgraded amenities there. Our beautiful crown jewel continues to shine.
  • Engaging and mentoring our youth. It is my privilege to support our youth organizations, programs, and school projects. Encouraging our youth in community service builds our next generation of leaders.
